Boardgames
New and shiny
New games we haven't played before, or only played once because they're so awesome and/or epic, or haven't played for so long they may as well be new. In no particular order:
Dust
Battlestar Galactica
Still haven't tried this out! Apparently it's awesome.
Le Havre
Feed the nation by building stuff. Or something.
- Cheesy Youtube summary
Steam
Dunno about you guys but I'd like to play this again.
Caylus
Win the King's favour by building his castle and growing the town's economy.
Space Alert
- Mike's. We should try it! It has a CD
Endeavour
Open trade routes to the colonies and expand your empire using shipping, colonisation, warfare and even slavery.
Tigris and Euphrates
Use kings, priests, merchants and farmers to build kingdoms in ancient Babylon, build monuments and go to war.
Hacienda
Place land tiles and herds of animals from your cards, and take them to market to score points. Three scoring rounds, points for land chains, keeping your herds watered and maximising your markets.
Standards
It has been suggested that we should deliberately only bring one or two standards, so that we're forced to play some new games. In that case we'll need to vote on which these will be, and make an attempt to at least skim-read the new game rules in advance so it's not a total mystery when we go through them on the day.
